Sensory Cloud created an original device for the drink industry called Nimbus. When COVID hit, the company pivoted to a health remedy that used a saline solution called FEND that could be delivered as a mist by the Nimbus device.
In this project to create a pocketable device, Devlin shrank the main components in to a module that could screw on to a bottle of the saline solution.

This is a concept study of an automatic dispensing battery charger. Just drop the dead batteries at the top, and grab new ones at the bottom that have been charged through a rotating, auto-sizing charger. Works for AA and AAA batteries and can be plugged directly in to the wall, or by cord.
The company was looking to upgrade its remote lock system. After a concept was approved, a block model was created for evaluation. This concept employed a custom branded attachment adhesive pad.
Before cell phones, there were PDAs - personal digital assistants. At the time, customers were more accustomed to changing batteries than charging stations. This was a study in flat rechargeable batteries. Each battery compartment design had to accommodate a square 3 volt batteies, or rectangular 1.5 volt batteries
RF Spectrum Analyzer
This technology allows an institution such as a hospital to manage the many wireless communication technologies within its walls, detecting interference, and optimizing performance.
Devlin used a folding plastic technique similar to cardboard model-making for short run fabrication of enclosures.

Dynalyzer
This bench-top spectrometer can analyzed fluids on-site in a medical facility. It replaces the existing system of sending out samples for analysis to remote lab, saving time and shipping expense. Devlin arranged and designed the enclosure, and developed the specialized slides that are used to analyze fluids.

The client needed an entire line of desk accessories using hardwood. Devlin created a number of product families. The preferred design was documented for production
Co-developed for the University of Pennsylvania Astrophysics department, these injection molded tiles with anti-reflection coating help absorb stray light inside the Simons telescope when arrayed in rings on the inside. Devlin was credited in the resulting scientific paper
Before laser printers, offices had large machines that would remove the margins of tractor-fed paper and separate the sheets. Curtis Manufacturing wanted a compact desktop version. Devlin designed the mechanical system and built a working prototype for focus group evaluation.

This was an exploration in applying shaving cream. The rechargeable applicator pushes gel from a removable cartridge through to a moistened and heated pad that rotates against the skin to create a lather. A sealed base station provided heat and power through induction. Devlin designed the product and mechanisms and worked with an electrical engineer to create the induction station. The prototype was fully functional.

The company had developed a technology that could sense small electrical changes in a plant, and convert those signals in to soothing music. Devlin created an enclosure which was essentially an allegory of what the product was doing, with signals flowing out of the leaf in to a bar of music.
Suction Catheter
The suction catheter is used for removal of material in the throat of patients on ventilators. The challenge was to develop an improved version that would not allow the escape of contaminated air within the bag the surrounds the catheter. A number of check valve alternatives were proposed and patented.
